Congress fanning regional passions, says TDP leader

HYDERABAD: The TDP on Friday charged the Congress Government and Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy with whipping up regional passions in the name of Jalayagnam.

At a press conference here, party official spokesperson Kodela Sivaprasada Rao urged Dr. Reddy not to rob one region of water by allocating it to another region.

While the Government was leaving no stone unturned and hurrying up on works to divert Krishna water to Rayalaseema, work on shifting Godavari water to Telangana was at a standstill.He regretted calling for tenders and going ahead with work on diverting surplus water to Rayalaseema through Pothireddypadu.
