Seminar on newer frontiers in chemistry

KOLLAM: The Chemistry Department attached to the St. Gregorios College, Kottarakara, is organising a national seminar on ``Newer frontiers in chemistry.''

The seminar to be held at the college on February 15 and 16 will be inaugurated by Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kerala V. Jayaprakas.

College Principal P.G. Thomas Paniker said that the aim of the seminar is to motivate youth into the new generation science and technology.

Resource persons for the seminar include prominent scientists and professors from reputed national and State institutions.

An exhibition for introducing scientific impulses and scientists is also being arranged in connection with the event.

The seminar will comprise six technical sessions for discussing matters of advanced science.

The selected topics include new generation science like nanoparticles, biomedical engineering and applicational spectroscopy.
