Maharashtra men bag title

HYDERABAD: Maharashtra men won the 40 years & above team championship defeating Delhi 3-0 in the final of the 13th National veterans table tennis championship at Fateh Maidan Indoor Stadium here on Friday.

The results (All finals):

Team event — Men 40 years & above: Maharashtra bt Delhi 3-0 (Sunil Babras bt Sanjay Vashisht 3-0; K.K. Rai bt Rajat Kathuria 3-2; P.G. Kelkar bt Ravi Vashisht 3-0).

50 years & above: Gujarat bt Punjab 3-1 (K.G. Puruhoit bt Sanjeev Sood 3-1; B.S. Vaghela lost to Sanjeev Thapar 1-3; K.R. Rathod bt Harminder Singh 3-0; B.S. Vaghela bt Sanjeev Sood 3-0).

60 years & above: Andhra bt Delhi 3-0 (D. Devendranath bt Anand Prakash 3-0; GVSV Rao bt V.J. Kishore 3-0; Anand Rao bt K.P. Narayana 3-0).

Women 40 years & above: Maharashtra bt Bengal 3-1 (Suhasini Bakre lost to Mantu Mormu 1-3; Mangala Savil bt Pritikana 3-1; Suhasini-Mangala bt Montu-Priti 3-1; Mangala Savit bt Manto Mormu 3-2).

50 years & above: Maharashtra bt AP 3-0 (Manisha bt Nandini Nagarajan 3-1; Shobha Naidu bt Laxmi Krishnan 3-2; Manisha-Pratibha bt Nandini-Laxmi 3-1).
