NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Friday granted interim bail for four weeks to the former Inspector-General of Haryana Police (Prisons), R.K. Sharma, in The Indian Express Principal Correspondent Shivani Bhatnagar murder case. Granting the relief, Justice S.K. Aggarwal said the accused would not move out of his residence at Panchkula in Haryana during the bail period. Sharma had sought and got interim bail to attend his daughter's marriage, to be solemnised on February 18. Mr. Justice Aggarwal granted bail subject to Sharma furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 2 lakhs with one surety of like amount in the trial court. The High Court had in October last year allowed Sharma to undergo an operation on his spine at a private hospital in Mohali in Punjab under police custody.
