NEW DELHI: The 38th anniversary celebrations of Vishnu Sahasranama Satsangam, R.K. Puram, will be held this weekend -- February 11 and 12 -- at Sankara Vidya Kendra in Vasant Vihar here with Vishnu Sahasranama and Lalitha Sahasranama Parayanams.

According to the Trustee, T. Subramanian, the Satsangam was formed in February 1968 by V. Ramanatha Iyer and a few others with the sole objective of bringing devotees together for group recitation of Vishnu Sahasranamam on Sundays.

Over the past 38 years there has been an uninterrupted weekly recitation with multi-crore chanting of divine namas.

This Saturday, February 11, former Rajasthan High Court Chief Justice Anil Dev Singh will release a book, "Lakshmyashtottara Satanama Niruktistuthi", and Prof. R. Sethuraman, Vice-Chancellor of Shanmugha College of Arts, Science and Technology Research Academy (SASTRA), Thanjavur, in Tamil Nadu will deliver a special address.

This will be followed by rendering of Tiruppugazh.
