MYSORE: For enthusiasts seeking adventure in the Himalayas, the Rotary Mysore Midtown and International Academy of Mountaineering and Allied Sports plans to provide an opportunity to test their endurance. A team from Mysore will be sent for National Himalayan Trekking Expedition 2006 in the Pir Panjal Range of the Kullu-Manali region of Himachal Pradesh during April/May. The 11-day trekking programme to the Saurkundi Pass in Himachal Pradesh is being organised by the Youth Hostels' Association of India (YHAI). High school, pre-university and degree students are eligible to participate. The number of participants has been restricted to 24. The last date for registration of names is March 2.
