Jewellery stolen

CHENNAI: Gold jewellery weighing 15 sovereigns was stolen from a house in Tiruvanmiyur on Wednesday night.

According to the police, Ayeesha Begam, a resident of Kamarajar Street, kept the jewellery in a bag, which was left near an open window.

Late in the night, some persons removed the jewellery through the window and escaped.

The Tiruvanmiyur police have registered a case and are investigating.
