KOCHI: India Gateway Terminals Limited (IGTL), operating the Rajiv Gandhi Container Terminal at the Kochi Port, will hold an enquiry into an incident late on Thursday night in which eight containers tumbled down from their stacks. No one was injured in the incident. The cause of the accident is under investigation, said a statement from the IGTL here on Friday. The incident occurred at 10.15 p.m. on Thursday night when an import consignment was being handled. The crane involved in the accident had been temporarily de-commissioned. It said that there was no disruption in container handling at the terminal. The salvage operations where completed by Friday afternoon under the supervision of officials of the IGTL. Meanwhile, a press release from the Cochin Thuramugha Thozhilali Union alleged that a container lorry was totally damaged in the incident and that IGTL officials were responsible for the incident.
