Now pay power bills through cash cards

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: The power distribution company, BSES, has now introduced payments through cash cards as another option to simplify online payment of bills. The company has signed up with Intrex India Limited to facilitate its 23 lakh customers to pay their electricity bills online by using the Itz Cash Card.

The new facility would be available to the customers of both BSES Yamuna Power Limited and BSES Rajdhani Power Limited. It comes close to the company's `Pay-by-Phone' initiative that enables consumers to pay their electricity bills through SMS, phone, Internet and auto debit.

"We are happy to offer our consumers an additional option to make online payment, which will be totally secure," said BSES director, Lalit Jalan.

Intrex India Limited's Itz Cash Card - launched in November 2003 - is the country's first and only multi utility pre-paid card.
