Murder case: police trace car owner

Staff Reporter

Thiruvananthapuram: The city police have traced the owner of the car that was used by the assailants who killed Anil Kumar alias `Motta' Ani at Thaliyal, near Karamana, on Wednesday afternoon. The police said the car belonged to Selven, a retired KSRTC employee.

A few days ago, Selven had sold the car to two youth after taking an advance amount of Rs.23,000. Shukur, a seller of used cars, brokered the deal.

The youth who bought the car were dealers in used vehicles and are absconding. They did not have any criminal background.

The police are trying to find out who had taken the car from the youth.
