DEHRA DUN: A group of Uttarakhand activists forced closure of Government offices and banks and staged a demonstration in Mussoorie on Saturday seeking a better deal for those who had sacrificed their youth for the creation of the hill State. The activists threatened an indefinite agitation from February 14 if their demands are not met by then. They are seeking jobs for the younger members in the families of the elderly activists as that would help the families lead a better life. Jai Prakash Uttarakhandi, leader of the Uttarakhand Andolankari Manch, demanded jobs for journalists who had participated in the Uttarakhand movement. The Manch also decided to represent their case directly before the Government in future.
