Telegu Desam to back no trust vote on Iran issue

Lucknow: The Telegu Desam Party declared on Saturday its support to the Samajwadi Party's proposed no confidence motion against the UPA Government on the Iran issue, even as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party chiefMulayam Singh Yadav ruled out going back on the decision.

Joining the Opposition attack against the Government for opposing Iran's nuclear programme at the recent IAEA meeting, TDP leader and the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, said the UPA Government had acted against the spirit of non-alignment.

Mr. Naidu said the five-member TDP would support the no confidence motion proposed by the Samajwadi Party in Lok Sabha in the upcoming session. — PTI
