"Kalam should have returned Governor's letter"
Ahmedabad:
Former BJP president L.K. Advani on Saturday said that the President of the country could have avoided the Bihar controversy relating to former Governor Buta Singh if he had not signed the document and returned it.
``It is not only Buta Singh who is to be blamed. The Central Government also had a role to play. Even the President could have returned the document (sent by Buta Singh) without signing it,'' he told party workers at a function held to mark the 38th death anniversary of freedom fighter Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
Mr. Advani said the year 2005 had not been a very good year for his party but it, however, managed to end the 15-year reign of RJD president Lalu Yadav. Scoffing at the Congress, Mr. Advani said that the party should take some lessons from the BJP on to how to run a coalition government successfully. PTI
