Two persons die in accidents; five injured

Bangalore: Two persons were killed and five injured in two accidents in the city on Saturday.

One person died and five were injured when the car by which they were travelling hit a median and an lamppost on the Ring Road in Ashok Nagar traffic police station limits.

The police gave the name of the dead as Mahesh (25) of Koramangala.

The injured have been admitted to a hospital.

The police said Mahesh was a native of Bellary.

The accident occurred when Mahesh lost control of the car.

In another accident, a pedestrian was killed when a lorry hit him near Mayaganahalli in Ramanagaram police station limits. The police gave the name of the victim as Javed Pasha (38) of Mayaganahalli.
