Power shutdown

In view of the proposed maintenance works to be undertaken at the Madampatty sub-station on February 13 from 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., the following areas would go without power supply: Madampatty, Kuppanur, Karadimadai, Sennanur, Alandurai, Semmedu, Iruttupallam, Poondi, Siruvani, Devarayapuram, Narasipuram, Thondamuthur, Kulathupalayam, Sundapalayam, Kalickanaickenpalayam, Theethipalayam, Kalampalayam, Pachapalayam, Perur, Perur-Chettipalayam and Kavundanur.

Free surgery camp

The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Midtown and Sri Ramakrishna Hospital in association with Pavai Hospital will organise a free plastic surgery camp for cleft palate, besides distributing free hearing aids for the impaired at Essorpee Rotary Midtown Hall, Devanga School on February 12.

Agitation planned

The Joint Struggle Committee of political parties, associations and bodies of trade and commerce has called for an agitation on February 13 at Irugur in protest against the inordinate delay in completion of the Rail Over Bridge (ROB) at Ondipudur.

The Convenor of the Committee, Irugur Subramanian, said that the dharna would be staged from 9 a.m. to noon.
