New delhi: It is spring time yet again. And for those who believe in the season of flowers and colour, the fun is just about to begin. Giving nature lovers a chance to admire and enjoy the `works' of some of the Capital's best `baghbans' (gardeners) will be the 19th Garden Tourism Festival being organised by Delhi Tourism from February 17. To be held in the popular hotspot, Garden of Five Senses at Said-Ul-Ajaib in Saket, the festival is being organised in collaboration with Incredible India. From the first festival that was held way back in 1988 in a DDA Park in Greater Kailash, the festival has surely come a long way. To be based on the theme "Colours of Spring", there will be colour and classification of herbs/shrubs and flowers in a varied way at the festival, which will be inaugurated by Chief Minister, Sheila Dikshit. Showcasing over 15,000 varieties, the festival will have on display various kinds of plants ranging from cactus to dahlia and chrysanthemum to lilies and succulents. The festival will be open between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. and there will be a special free bus service between Qutub Minar and Dilli Haat. Entry for children in uniform has been kept free.
