BANGALORE: Union Minister of Science and Technology and Ocean Development Kapil Sibal will launch the Natural Disasters Information System (NDIS) pilot project on the Whitefield campus of Geneva Software Technologies Limited (GSTL) here on Monday. GSTL has developed a unique solution for the Technology Development Board attached to the Department of Science and Technology for the NDIS project. The solution utilises the power of telecom bandwidth to reach the alert message. The project is promoted and contributed by the Technology Development Board, IMD and BSNL. Geneva has devised the world's first System of Location-based Language Messaging Service to send alert messages in the preferred language of the subscribers.
