BANGALORE: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy will leave for New Delhi on Monday where he will call on President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. During his maiden visit to New Delhi as Chief Minister, Mr. Kumaraswamy is scheduled to discuss the ONGC petro complex project and its future with the Prime Minister. He will also meet the Ministers of Home and Urban Development, among others, and broach the subjects of naxalite activity, Bangalore's infrastructure and the status of the metro rail project. He will return to Bangalore on Tuesday. Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa too will leave for New Delhi on a two-day visit on Monday. He will meet Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia, and Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil. On Tuesday, he will call on the President and meet the Union Ministers Sharad Pawar (Agriculture) and P. Chidambaram (Finance).
