Syed Ammal corners glory

RAMANATHAPURAM: Syed Ammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Ramanathapuram. boys and girls cornered glory by bagging a maximum number of 25 medals (11 gold, 5 silver and 9 bronze medals) in the World Beater's Talent Spotting Scheme athletic meet for Ramanathapuram Educational District Schools conducted by Ramanathapuram Unit of SDAT at Seethakathi Sethupathy Stadium here recently.

The results (all winners): Boys: Eighth Std.: 100m: S. Mohamed Natheem (Syed Ammal Matric H.S.S); 200m: K. Raja (Govt. HSS, Kadukkaivalasai); 400m: S. Mohamed Natheem; Long jump: I. Asan Gani (Mohamadia HSS, Chitrakottai); High jump: K. Sugantha Ganesh (S.A.M. HSS); Shot put: K. Raja.

Seventh Std.: 100m: S. Palanikumar (St. Joseph's HS), 200m: J. Arul Prabu (St. Arulanandar HSS Oriyoor), 400m: J. Arul Prabu; Long jump: V. Vijayaragavan (V.V. Matric School, Devipatnam); High jump: K. Mohamed Faizal (S.A.M. HS); Shot put: N. Jansher Khan (N.A.M. HSS).

Sixth Std.: 100m: M. Sivarajan (St. Joseph's HS); 200m: P. Gavaskar (St. Joseph's HS); 400m: R. Kannika Premnath (SAM HSS); Long jump: A. Gavaskar; High jump: M. Valitha Ahmed (S.A.M. HSS); Shot put: R. Sakthivel (St. Joseph's HS).
