CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has decided to hold meetings of Headmasters of schools at block level to sensitise them on social issues and problems of girl students, the Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh hooda, said here on Sunday evening while presiding over a meeting of Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police. He expressed concern over the incidents (of sexual exploitation) relating to girl students that occurred in Jind and Sirsa districts recently. He directed the Deputy Commissioners to make surprise checks to ensure that the teachers attended schools regularly. They should also ensure that the menace of copying and use of unfair means during examinations were checked. The Haryana Government has released Rs. 77 crores for repair of buildings of schools, bus stands and hospitals during this financial year, Mr.Hooda said here. He added that the Government would release Rs.117 crores under these heads in the next financial year. Mr.Hooda directed the Deputy Commissioners to take up the repair and maintenance works speedily.
