KARIMNAGAR: Bharatiya Janata Party State leaders have clarified that they will not forge any alliance with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi or TDP and contest the ensuing local bodies elections independently. Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, senior party leader and former Union Minister, Bandaru Dattatreya said that "the TRS is on the decline. It is now the party of anti-Telangana stand taken up by the Congress."

He said that the BJP will take up several agitational programmes against the injustice meted out to the Telangana region on all fronts.

On the TDP's Godavari jala sadana padayatra, Mr. Dattatreya and the State unit president N. Indrasena Reddy, ridiculed the TDP leaders for organising the padayatra on utilisation of Godavari waters after loosing power.
