Correction

In the news item, `Concern over rising trend in gestational diabetes,' reported in these columns on Sunday, the study on gestational diabetes mellitus was incorrectly attributed to Madras Medical College.

The study, which was done by Dr. V. Seshiah Diabetes Care and Research Institute, showed that 10.8 per cent of rural women and 16.8 percent of urban women had GDM.
