Car knocks down woman worker

A municipal contract worker Bharatamma, 45, was killed when a car hit her while she was sweeping the road at Chaderghat late on Saturday night. A resident of Koheda village in Hayathnagar, the victim sustained serious injuries and was declared brought dead at Osmania General Hospital.

Labourer killed in freak accident

A labourer G. Krishna, 18, who was mixing tar, died on Saturday after concrete mixture fell on him from a machine at Mamidipalli under Pahadisharieff police station area. The victim was engaged by a contractor for road-laying work.
