Wooing viewers, the Jackie Chan way
The Jackie Chan movie, `The Myth,' now running in city theatres, is creating quite a bit of viewer interest.
Apart from the fact that the Bollywood damsel, Mallika Sherawat, is playing the role of a princess in the movie, it had been in the news because a six-member team of Kalaripayattu experts from the Thiruvananthapuram-based martial arts school, CVN Kalari, is also featured in the film.
The CVN Kalari's martial arts experts were invited to join the film after the film's director, Stanley Tong, was quite taken by their splendid display of martial arts, while he was on a visit to Kerala.
The team, including G. Satyanarayanan from the city, had been to Shanghai for the film's shooting and had also met Jackie Chan.
