Letters to the Editor
This refers to the editorial "The campaign against leprosy" (Feb. 14). Leprosy is one of the most socially stigmatised diseases. This is largely because of myths that it is hereditary and contagious, a result of divine curse, and so on. Since ignorance and reluctance to accept cured patients back into society are rampant, a proper communication policy can be promoted to reach out to the masses to remove the stigma.
