HYDERABAD: Samsung India Electronics on Tuesday launched a series of TFT LCD (thin-film transistor liquid crystal display) monitors, printers and note PCs targeted at domestic and business segments. The new products will be the flagship categories of the company that will drive Samsung's hi-end sales for its IT business this year. The Haydn series will comprise monitors of screen sizes 15'', 17'' and 19,'' while the Vivaldi series is in the 17'' screen category. The prices would range from Rs. 11,000 for a 15'' monitor to Rs. 23,000 for a 19'' one. The company has also launched three new and advanced note PC X-60, R-65 and X-11 in the market. Announcing the national launch of the new products, Samsung India head, value business sales, Princy Bhatnagar, said that in view of the rapid market migration towards LCD monitors, the company was targeting the home and business segments to boost its growth. It was decided to set up 15 dedicated stores across the country including one in Hyderabad during the current year. As part of promotion, consumers buying a SyncMaster 740N TFT LCD monitor would get a Samsung laser printer worth Rs. 8,490 for free and the offer would be valid between February 15 and March 31.
