Sasikiran posts win

Moscow: Grandmaster Krishnan Sasikiran scored a thumping victory over Russian stalwart Vladimir Malakhov to move to joint second spot after the sixth round in `A1' section of the Aeroflot International Open chess tournament here on Tuesday.

Indian results: round 6: Group A1: K. Sasikiran (4.5) bt Vladimir Malakhov (Rus, 4); Baadur Jobava (Geo, 4) bt Sandipan Chanda ( 3); S.S. Ganguly (2) lost to Tatiana Kosintseva (Rus, 3).

Group A2: Vladimir Kozyrev (Rus, 4.5) drew with Neelotpal Das (4.5); Yang Shen (Chn, 3) lost to R.B. Ramesh (4); beat L.
