GUNTUR: A two-day `Mega job fair,' in association with `e-Services', a Bangalore-based firm will be conducted on the Acharya Nagarjuna Campus (ANU) beginning Saturday, said ANU Vice-Chancellor V. Balamohandas. Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, he said there would be recruitments for the posts of Customer Executives, Human Resource Executives, Technical Support Engineers and Financial Advisors. He not only called upon current and the former students of ANU and its affiliated colleges to take part, but also invited other prospective candidates for the jobs. The company was primarily in the field of BPO apart from providing in-house training programmes for the prospective candidates. "In India, the BPO industry had generated Rs.7,100 crores as revenue, employing more than 1.10 lakh people across the country," said e-services Vice President A.S. Rajput. The State Government had recognised the potential of the sector and proposes to set up IT hubs at Vijayawada, Guntur, Kakinada, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Nellore and Warangal, that would provide job opportunities for more than 40,000 people, he said. All final year students in their colleges can also appear for the interview. Technical posts require the candidates to qualify in a written test while qualifying at the verbal interviews was the pre requisite for the non-technical posts. The candidates had to undergo a registration process by paying a fee of Rs.5 at the registration counter at the Students Centre on the campus.
