Government urged to pay power dues

Staff Reporter

KOLLAM: The KSEB Workers Association has called upon the State Government to pay the electricity dues of the tsunami victims from the tsunami fund. The payment of seven bills are pending. In a statement here, association secretary of the Kollam division committee K.V. Georgekutty said that since the fishing sector is facing crisis following the strike by seafood exporters, the fishermen from the tsunami-hit areas have no jobs.

The workers urged the KSEB not to snap the electricity connection of the tsunami victims on grounds of non-payment of dues.
