Grand welcome awaits Yediyurappa in Shimoga

SHIMOGA: A grand welcome awaits Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa when he visits his home district on Wednesday for the first time after assuming office. Mr. Yediyurappa, who will arrive by the Bangalore-Shimoga train, will address a press conference at the Circuit House before addressing a BJP workers' meeting at the Gayatri Mangalya Mandir.

Meeting

He will hold discussions with the district administration on development issues before participating in meetings arranged by the Shimoga District Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chartered Accountants' Association.

He will leave for his constituency, Shikaripur, in the afternoon where he will address a public meeting after offering pujas at the Hucharayaswamy Temple and the Raghavendraswamy Math. Mr. Yediyurappa will leave for Belgaum in the evening, according to an official note issued here.

Rousing reception

Local BJP workers have decided to offer a rousing reception to Mr. Yediyurappa at the railway station on his arrival.
