KURNOOL: Mantralayam Township in Kurnool district received a jolt when high voltage wires contacted the domestic line accidentally on Tuesday. According to reports, an 11-kv line transmitting power to a lift irrigation scheme, which was charged on Tuesday, came in contact with the domestic line. Electronic gadgets in over 40 houses were destroyed due to flow of high voltage power. An old couple -- Venkoba Rao and Venkamma --got a shock and were rushed to hospital.
