Manda Wildlife Park (Jammu): In what could be termed as a sense of care towards wild animals, two leopard cubs who were recently rescued by villagers of Palsa in Jammu, when the duo were attacked by dogs, have been shifted to a new home in the Manda Wildlife Park in Jammu. Residents of Palsa who had saved the cubs handed them over to the park authorities this Sunday. "The villagers saw that the two cubs were surrounded by the dogs. They rescued the cubs and looked after them. A few of the concerned villagers informed the administrative authorities, who in turn informed us. We immediately sent a team from Jammu and on the 12th evening, the two cubs were brought here," said Naseer Ahmad Kitchloo, Regional Director, Department of Forests, Jammu and Kashmir. Before being handed over to authorities, villagers named the cubs `Bunty' and `Babli', after the characters from the hit Bollywood film by the same name. Both the cubs are now stated to be in good health and a lot of credit for this goes to the villagers. The cubs are on a healthy diet of milk and vitamin supplements with two full time nannies giving them loads of care and attention. -- ANI
