A display of young talent

BANGALORE: Ashadeep, a day care centre for the mentally challenged, celebrated its annual day at Yavanika recently.

Children presented a group dance highlighting the impact of tsunami. Swetha and Harish D. who won gold and silver medals respectively at the inter-State shuttle badminton competition held in Chhattisgarh, and Madhura U. who bagged bronze medal in the cycling competition held in Bareilly were honoured.

Srikanth, Jyothi Jain and Karthik who excelled at the State-level athletic championship held in Bangalore were also honoured.

Annual day

Cauvery High School, Nagarabhavi, celebrated its annual day, Kalasambhrama, recently. The event provided children an opportunity to showcase their skills. To mark Suvarna Rajyothsava, the programme began with Nadavandane, which had children carrying lamps dancing to the tunes of "Hachchevu Kannadada deepa... " The programme concluded with Vande Mataram, a group dance depicting the theme, "unity in diversity."

Graduation day

Bishop Cotton Girls' School bid farewell to its graduating students recently. Principal Princess Franklyn administered the graduation oath to 280 of them.

She called upon them to stick to the value system instilled in them.

125th anniversary

The 125th anniversary celebrations of Baldwin Schools, which began in December last, will have a grand finale from January 16 to 18.

Delhi Public School, Bangalore South, bid farewell to its second batch of graduating students recently.
