Mystery behind watchman's murder solved
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD:
The Sanathnagar police on Tuesday cracked the mystery behind the murder of a watchman, Rafeeq Khan, 45, with the arrest of a labourer B. Raju. The victim was found murdered, his head smashed with a boulder, on February 5 near a building in Czech Colony.
The needle of suspicion pointed towards Raju, a close friend of Khan, since he disappeared after the murder was committed. Admitting to the crime, Raju told the police that both Khan and he were living alone and used to sleep on the pavement in the colony. On the fateful day, Khan reportedly asked Raju to bring in some sex worker leading to an argument between the two friends. The same night, Raju allegedly killed Khan while the latter was fast asleep by smashing his head with a boulder.
