Girl found dead in house

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: A 13-year-old girl Jyothi was found dead in her house at Subhashnagar Colony of Chandanagar under suspicious circumstances on Tuesday. Victim's father V. Ram Singh, 35, a DCM van owner, told the police that his daughter had been suffering from appendicitis and developed complications on Monday night.

"It seems Singh gave some cool drink to her daughter. The girl went to bed after taking the drink and was found dead next morning," Balanagar ACP Satyanarayana Reddy said. A case of suspicious death was booked.

The police said sections of the law would be altered based on the autopsy report.
