4 held for attacking police vehicle

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The Golconda police picked up four persons late on Tuesday night in connection with the attack on a police vehicle on Sunday. A mob hurled stones on the vehicle of a police team while they were bringing a person Jangaiah Yadav of Moti Darwaza to police station for questioning.

Yadav's son Raju had a tiff with one Ayub Khan of the same locality. Based on a complaint lodged by Khan, the police went to Raju's house but they took his father into custody for questioning since he was absconding.

Raju's supporters allegedly intercepted the police vehicle and pelted stones leading to mild tension in the area.
