Bangalore: The Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath has requested Bangalore University to constitute an inquiry committee to go into the complaints of students. The students are on strike demanding the resignation or dismissal of some of the lecturers. They have demanded that the teachers be directed to attend refresher courses to enable them to improve their teaching skills. Complaints have also surfaced that the premises of the parishath is being misused to hold certain political meetings. General secretary of the Chitrakala Parishath D.K. Chowta said that the demand pertaining to the dismissal of some of the teachers could not be considered since the students have not filed a written complaint. The executive committee of the parishath met on Tuesday and all the office-bearers including the Principal of the College of Fine Arts, attended the meeting. The committee assured the students that all their demands will be considered within a month. The other demands of the students are proper infrastructure, proper quality of education and a proper line of communication between the students and the faculty.
