THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Film enthusiasts in the city will get yet another opportunity to watch Sergei Eisentein's `Battleship Potemkin.' The film will be screened at 6 p.m. at Gorky Bhavanam on Friday. `Battleship Potemkin,' rated as one of the best Russian films, was selected as the best film at the world fair held in Belgium in 1958. The film, which depicts a revolt in a ship during the Czar reign, was first screened in 1925. The Russian Culture Centre has organised the screening in association with the Chalachitra Academy to mark the opening of the `e-library' at the centre. Free passes for the screening will be available at the centre on Friday morning.
