AB Mauri bets on yeast and bakery business

BANGALORE: AB Mauri India, which recently became a 100 per cent subsidiary of Associated British Foods, UK, has embarked upon a business plan in the yeast and bakery ingredients, hoping to notch up about Rs. 100 crore sales by next fiscal. Last fiscal the company has recorded sales of about Rs. 80 crore. Disclosing this at a press conference, AB Mauri President, South and West Asia, Garapati, said plans were afoot to raise the ratio of yeast and bakery ingredients from 70:30 to 50:50 and the company's four plants in India had the required capacities.
