Letters to the Editor
The article "A visual lure like no other" (Feb. 7) on how you can fool fish with ultraviolet vision reminded me of a joke I read some time ago. A man was sitting near a pond with a torch. A passer-by asked him what he was doing. He said he was catching fish. When the passer-by pointed out that people normally catch fish either with fishhook or nets, he said he would reveal the secret if paid money. The curious onlooker paid him and the man said he beamed the torch in the eyes of the fish and then caught them. Asked how many fish he had caught this way, the man shot back: "You are the fifth."
