Thiruvananthapuram: The Students Federation of India (SFI) will boycott the single member commission probing the death of engineering student Rajani S. Anand. SFI State secretary M. Swaraj accused the commission of casting aspersions on the character of Rajani, a Dalit student who is suspected to have committed suicide owing to her inability to pay fees. Swaraj said the commission had made "adverse remarks against Rajani" in an interview telecast by a private channel recently. The SFI would march to the place of sitting of the commission in the city on March 18. On February 28, the SFI would hold a meeting of student activists who were "victimised" by the police during the agitations.
