New Delhi:
India and Pakistan are expected to discuss the twin issues of project structure and gas pricing for the India-Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline projects during talks being held on Thursday during the visit of Pakistan's Petroleum Minister, Amanullah Khan Jadoon. According to Petroleum Secretary M.S. Srinivasan, other bilateral issues like diesel export to Pakistan will also figure in the discussions.
Speaking to newspersons, he said the issue to be considered was whether the pipeline would be built as a consortia by the three countries together or by each one individually in their own areas. He said India and Pakistan have discussed sharing a consortium for the pipeline implementation and this will be submitted for Cabinet approval in case the idea is firmed up during these talks.
