U.S., Indian air force officials visit Kuttanad

ALAPPUZHA:
A 30-member team of top officials of the U.S Air Force arrived here on Wednesday and visited various parts of Kuttanad along with officials of the Indian Air Force.
The three helicopters carrying top Indian and U.S. air force officials landed at the recreation ground here at around 9 a.m. The top officials of the district administration including the District Collector K.R. Muraleedharan and Superintendent of Police Varghese George received them at the helipad.
They later rested at a private tourist home at Kallupalam here and subsequently boarded a houseboat from a jetty near the Alappuzha KSRTC station. A patrol boat of the police escorted the houseboat. The team visited various places in Kuttanad and returned by 3 p.m.
