Sankara School, Adyar celebrates annual day

Students render Tiruvachagam

CHENNAI: Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School in Adyar celebrated its annual day recently. Apart from prize distribution and honouring of teachers for their long service, children presented dances and a student orchestra rendered Tiruvachagam, and a dance drama `Mahishasura Mardhini.' K. Vijayakumar, Additional Director-General of Police, gave away mementos to teachers and distributed prizes to students who excelled in the board examinations held last year.

V.S. Dhandapani, managing trustee of Indian Education Trust, also spoke.
