Edible oil base import price raised

NEW DELHI: The Central Government on Wednesday revised upwards the base import price for soyabean and palm oils in tune with the global price level. The base import price or tariff value for soyabean oil has been raised to $501 from $484 a tonne while the crude palm oil price was raised by $14 to $426 a tonne. The new tariff values would come into force with immediate effect, an official release said.
