Indiawood 2006 from today

BANGALORE: The five-day fourth edition of Asia's largest woodworking machinery show, Indiawood 2006, will start on Thursday at Palace Grounds (entry from Bellary Road near Mehkri Circle).

Over 300 woodworking majors from India and abroad will showcase their state-of-the-art products, according to Gianni Ghizzoni, President, European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (eUMABOIS).

Taiwan will have a major presence. Sixteen pavilions, including the ones dedicated to Germany, Italy, Malaysia and Spain, will showcase country-specific product. Buyers from India, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan, Myanmar and Bangladesh are expected to visit it.
