BANGALORE: Revenue Sports Board's S. Alex Anthony Raj of Chennai and Snehal Khaire of Mumbai emerged the `fastest man' and `fastest woman' on the opening day of the all-India Civil Services annual athletic meet here at the Sree Kanteerva stadium on Wednesday. While Anthony Raj was timed at 10.6 seconds pipping Karnataka's Parmeshwar for the gold, Snehal sprinted ahead of the field from the 30 metres mark to stop the clock at 13.3 seconds. The results (only winners): Men: 100m: S. Alex Anthony Raj (Chennai) 10.6s; 800m: Jitendra Singh (Mumbai) 2;04.08s; 5000m: P. Gopi (Chennai) 16:14.7s; High jump: Deepaksha Singh (CCSSCB, Delhi) 1.91m; Shot put: J.P. Singh (Delhi) 12.86m; Javelin throw: Deependra Kumar (CCSSCB, Delhi) 63.35m; 4x400m relay: Tamil Nadu 337.8 s. Women: 100m: Snehal Khaire (Mumbai) 13.3s; 800m: Urmila More (Mumbai) 2:49.0s; Discuss throw: Subrata Debnath (Kokata) 27.36m; 4x400m relay: Mumbai 4:57.4s.
