MADURAI: Host Madurai Law College beat Chennai Law College by five wickets in the final of the cricket event in the Dr. Ambedkar Law University inter-collegiate games meet here on Wednesday. Chennai Law College won the volleyball title defeating Tiruchi 25-14, 25-3 (conceded) in the final. In the semifinal Chennai beat Coimbatore 25-10, 25-14. Coimbatore Law College won the men's ball badminton title defeating Madurai 29-11, 29-21 in the final. In the semifinals, Coimbatore beat Chennai 29-22, 29-24 and Madurai beat Chengalpattu 29-24, 29-12. Correction: The women's ball badminton title was won by Chennai and not as reported on Tuesday in these columns. Regret the error. The scores (Final): Chennai 108 for three in 20 overs lost to Madurai 109 for five in 19.5 overs. Semifinals: Chennai 125 for seven in 20 overs bt Chengalpattu 101 in 19.1 overs.
