Thiruvananthapuram: Queen of Bhutan Ashi Dorji Wangomo Wangechuck and her daughter, Princess Ashi Sonam Dechen Wangechuck, arrived at the international airport here on Wednesday on a three-day visit to the State. They were received at the airport by Principal Secretary E.K. Bharat Bhushan, District Collector N. Ayyappan, State Protocol Officer P.S. Sreekumar and other officials. The Queen arrived by a scheduled Indian flight from New Delhi. After a brief interaction with the State Government officials at the VIP lounge, the Queen met mediapersons. The Queen said she was happy to visit Kerala. She said she had been longing to visit the State for several years. Later, the Queen and her daughter drove to Taj Green Cove in the beach resort of Kovalam. The seven-member royal entourage led by the Queen would visit Kanyakumari on Thursday and leave for Chennai on February 17.
