Pakistan team arrives
Amritsar
: A 27-member Pakistan hockey squad, including seven officials, arrived here on Wednesday for the up-coming India-Pakistan hockey series that commences at Chandigarh on February 17.
The squad, led by skipper Mohammed Saqlain, was received by former India player Balwinder Singh Shammi of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Hockey Academy.
Talking to newspersons on his arrival, Saqlain said the series would be a tough one as both teams were evenly matched. "Pakistan will go all out to win the first match at Chandigarh and put pressure on the Indians," he said.
Saqlain said the six-match series was important for both the teams ahead of the World Cup to be held in Germany this year. UNI
